My festival babe guide

I’m making sure to appreciate the comfort of my hotel room tonight as tomorrow, I head off to catch the coach to Glastonbury!  I’ve been meaning to write a post for ages on this but as ever life gets in the way so it’s ended up being a last minute jobby. This will be my fourth Glastonbury festival but I have a feeling it may turn out to be the wettest. As I could only get coach tickets I’m having to travel light-ish so thought I would share with you my festival beauty faves. Here’s my guide to being a festival babe!

At a festival is the only time you will catch me using a face wipe! I’ve never liked using them but options are limited when you’re in a field. These Garnier Pure Active wipes caught my eye this year mainly because they are enriched with Salicylic acid so hoping to keep spots at bay ( normally caused by the damn wipes in the first place!).

Festivals (or weekend trips) are the perfect time to try out samples as they often come in really dinky bottles, great for travelling light! I have Lancôme’s sleeping mask and glow boosting liquid care with me which I’m hoping will keep me looking fresh and radiant (🙏🏼).

I’m also taking with me my beloved Estée Lauder Advance Night Repair serum in a handy 7ml bottle! Love it.

L’Oreal True match is my foundation of choice. I mentioned on Instagram a few months ago that this was the closest match I could find to Repairwear foundation by Clinique which they have sadly stopped producing. It’s so easy to apply and really does match my skin tone perfectly, can’t go wrong! I’ve opted to bring my Soleil tan de Chanel rather then a contouring powder compact as I like the dewy finish it leaves. The bronzer provides a very natural looking tan which you can build up as much as you like.

When you’re short of space, products which have multi uses are great! I love Clinique’s sculpting highlight chubby stick as not only does it give you a gorgeous pearly glow, it also works well as an eye shadow!

For a pop of colour I’ve bought along my favourite blush; Orgasm by Nars. It’s also quite sparkly which is perfect for Glastonbury!

For my lips my first option is this Rimmel long lasting colour rush lipstick in ‘Drive me nude 710’. The colour does last a number of hours although I would say it’s more of a pink than a nude!

So I’ve used my chubby brown eye liner so much that all the product info has been rubbed off. I’m 99% sure I picked this up from Max factor last year but can’t seem to see it anywhere on their website. It’s a great product because you can create clean lines or use a brush and smudge it out for a smokey eye.

My second pot of cream eyeshadow is definitely from Max factor! It’s called Excess Shimmer in 20 Copper. As the name suggests it gives a beautiful subtle shimmery eye, perfect for a day look!

My nude lipstick of choice is Shy girl by Mac. This looks great with a bit of bronzer and has a really strong pigment that lasts hours! I’ve also brought with me one of new Clarins lip perfectors in peach to keep my lips moisturised and looking good.

Now for the fun stuff! I picked up a pot of glitter from Barry M! Great for around the eyes to add a little sparkle for the evening! Tip – use something like Paw Paw balm to help the glitter stay on for longer!

I also have some face and body jewels from H&M and Claire’s accessories. I saw lots of girls wearing these last year and was jealous I didn’t have any! I also picked up a gorgeous flower crown from Accessorize (pictured above). When it comes to wearing flowers in your hair, the bigger the better in my opinion!

image.jpegI’m absolutley in love with my glittery bum bag from Ginger Raven ( I was wearing it all day yesterday and it looks great! Big enough to keep all your daily essentials in too! It’s going to be great to be hands free for once!

So that’s it, all my festival beauty faves! I’ve been writing this on my phone so it’s not my best post but wanted to get it out before the festival. If you want anymore info about any of the products I’ve mentioned feel free to leave a comment below.

See you on the other side!

Love Sophie x
