Insurance you’ll want to take out

It’s been six months and I’m still very much in the honeymoon period when it comes to Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis Skin Insurance. It can do no wrong in my eyes. A lot of you have probably heard of it already, especially since the queen herself, Victoria Beckham, raved about it on her Instagram last week.

I discovered it by chance after the shop I was in didn’t stock the brand I was after, forcing me to try something new. I am so glad this was recommended to me because it has become a corner stone of my daily skincare routine. So what is it?

As the name suggests, it’s all about protecting your skin from infrared, thermal and UV ageing as well as adding a gorgeous dewy glow by using clever light scattering powders. It’s SPF30 so will help to keep premature ageing caused by the sun at bay too. As you’ll see in the photos below, it also has a very light tint to it giving you the option to wear it alone for a natural look. Don’t let the subtle tint put you off if you have darker skin. Once blended in, the tint becomes less pigmented and instead becomes more of a general glow.

I personally apply mine after my serum and before my foundation. I find it’s best to give the bottle a shake and then to quickly rub it into the face, ensuring you have an even coverage. It has a silky, lightweight texture which glides effortlessly over your skin. It’s not advertised as a primer but I treat it like one as make-up seems to sit well on top of it. It’s great at adding a subtle glow if you use a matte foundation too! It also has an incredible smell -of what, I’m not sure but its good stuff!

I bought my first bottle in September for £45 which lasted a good 3 months, bearing in mind I only used it once a day. I’m already on my second bottle and know I will continue to buy more as its such a good product. This goes straight into my hall of fame!

You’ll also notice a second Sarah Chapman product in the photo and this is her Skinesis Age-Repair Serum. I got this 15ml sample in the Space N.K. second edition beauty box. I’ve only used it a couple of times but it seems very good. Slightly thicker consistency then you might imagine a serum to be but it had the famous Skinesis glow and smell again.

My next product on my wishlist is the Skinesis Overnight Facial! Let me know if any of you have tried the products in today’s post.

  1. Had the best facial of my life with the Sarah Chapman clinic and really liked their serum (although now associate it with hideous morning sickness so can’t go anywhere near it now 😳). Keen to try more of her stuff though so good recommendation. Thank you!

    1. I would love to have one of her facials just wish her clinic was nearer to where I lived! Oh no that’s a shame regarding the morning sickness 😦 I’ve just bought ‘Facial in a box’ and so far, I’m loving Overnight facial – will do a review on it soon! Love your blog by the way, you’re a brilliant writer xx
